What’s your story?

What started as an inexpensive reward system for our journey towards better health quickly became a passion for the power of recommerce and upcycled, recycled, or just plain cycled goods.

At the end of our first careers, we decided to make this passion our full time livelihood. Today, Parsimony Shoppes has grown into thousands of individual unique items and collections of treasures and thrifty gifts.

We love what we do and we’re typically around to help pretty quickly. 

Why should I buy from your store?

We’re nice, honest people. Real people. We’re here to do a good job for you and earn your repeat business. Also, we have really sweet dogs at home that like treats.

Wait, does that mean I’m gonna have dog hair on my stuff?

We love those good doggos, but they stay home and all of our items are kept in a separate location. That said, anything’s possible so our clothing & shoes are hand-inspected, clean, or laundered to manufacturers specifications and we take care to deliver our very best everyday.

How do I find an item on the website?

There are several ways to shop our site! You can search, browse by category, or go nuts, hit the SHOP ALL button and start scrolling.

• If you know what you are looking for, type your keyword(s) into the search bar located at the top of any page.

• To browse by category, simply select an option from the menu at the top of any page.

Where do your items come from?

We primarily source our products from thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales and retail clearance. We also have an amazing team of family and friends that help us by providing goods they would have otherwise disposed or find with us in mind. We are forever grateful to those special people.

How do I determine my size?

We do our best to provide measurements on items. If we missed something and you’re interested, please ask. We’re here to help.

Am I getting the exact item in the picture?

In almost every case, yes! Unless the item is a NIB (New In Box) product; in which case you will receive a unit from stock.

What do you mean by New or Pre-owned?

New: A brand-new, unused, and unworn item. Our new items may be in the original packaging and/or with the original tags attached. New items may show some wear from trying on.

Pre-owned: An item that has been lightly used or worn previously.

Ok, how do you determine conditions of your items?

We review each item by hand. We do our best to provide a detailed description of each piece including any wear or imperfections.
