Story:

The Sinclair Hotel had become such a rousing success in Liberty Falls, and its owner and namesake, Tobias Sinclair, considered the town his favorite place in America. It didn’t take much convincing for his wife, Esther, to move to Liberty Falls full time after she became involved in the choir’s activities at The Liberty Church. At first, the Sinclairs were perfectly at home in one of their hotel’s larger rooms. But Tobias and Esther soon became so fond of this bustling Colorado village that they built their very own mansion, complete with a matching carriage house. The home was designed in English Manor style, crafted of brick with lots of windows in attractive shapes, balconies off several of the upstairs bedrooms, and lavish landscaping. Esther set to work decorating “The Sinclair House” using furniture she had shipped from her previous home in Denver, as well as some new acquisitions from the local furniture makers, and a host of handsome rugs from Winthrop’s Carpet Mill.

Before long, her drawing room became a center for musical enjoyment in Liberty Falls—and as the couple did more and more for the community, their hotel continued to thrive!
